Day 1: Arrive at Granada airport and transfer to Granada the last Muslim Kingdom which held out for 250 years before the inevitable fall in 1492 [1/2 hour drive]. We will check into the hotel, freshen up, pray Jumuah followed by a short briefing and a short stroll in the city.

Day 2: After breakfast, we will make our way to the Alhambra, usually the highlight of the tour for many. Nominated a wonder of the world the visit to the Palaces, gardens and fort will leave you breathless (approximately 3-4 hours). There will be free time after this for shopping & exploring the Albaycin.

Day 3: After breakfast, we will visit Masjid Taqwa [pray Zuhar there] in the downtown area near Plaza Nueva, tucked away in the Moroccan quarter. There, we will have a gathering and also try to meet the Imam, Shaykh Hamid Omar and Shaykh Abdar Rahman [Mauritanians from the family of Murabit-al-Hajj’s tribe]. Later, we may go to the Archaeological Museum of Granada.

Day 4: After breakfast, we will travel by coach in the morning to Cordoba, the legendary Muslim city that was the Capital of al Andalucía [3 hours] and visit the Masjid there, one of the most important and largest Mosques in its time. Later, we may take a walk to the old Jewish quarter and then across the old Roman bridge for a visit to a fantastic interactive Museum on Islamic Spain.

Day 5: After breakfast, in the early morning we will visit Madinat Zahra [2.5 hours] - the city built by the Caliph Abdul Rahman III. Here we see the Palace ruins and take a visit to the new exhibitions and museum (2.5 hours). We will then return to Cordoba from where will take a coach to Malaga [2.5 hours].

Day 6: After breakfast, we will explore Malaga city [including Mezquita de Malaga], take a stroll on the beach and carry out other relevant activities.

Day 7: After breakfast and a short rest we will make our way to Malaga airport.
