Andalucia - Islamic Spain

The trip to Andalusia, well where do I start? Being able to walk in the same footsteps of some of the most noble and innovative Muslims that ruled that part of Spain for over 700 years was a great experience. Praying jumuah at the masjid in Granada was wonderful it was great to see how packed it was and to get to meet Shaykh Abdul Hakim Quick.
One of the highlights of Granada was touring the Alhambra Palace and seeing the beautiful architecture and gardens; some of the scenes had me lost for words.
Moving onto Córdoba where we got to see the inside of the masjid of Córdoba and it's beautiful architecture and learning about how it was unfortunately taken over by tyrants and turned into a cathedral.

Also seeing madinatul zahra; a city built by a caliph of the Muslims. All in all the tour was a great experience and most importantly a very beneficial reminder of how we as Muslims should not grasp onto the dunya with two hands and keep our intentions clean when it comes to the remembrance of Allah azza wa jal.

The trip to Spain (Andalucia) was a great experience. Learning about the Islamic history and seeing it first hand was eye opening.
Rihal Tours made the trip all round comfortable and they delivered great service; from the pre travel seminar, to the goody bags containing travel essentials and information.
The trip was made exciting and Rihal Tours helped in increasing my knowledge when it comes to Islamic Spain.
I would totally recommend all Muslims to travel to Andalucia atleast once in their lives to witness the Islamic history and learn about the Muslim civilisation that ruled for almost 800 years.
